1. A man that is getting deeper into an affair gets bored with his family. He spends less time at home and does not want to attend any family functions, always making up an excuse for his absence.

2. There is a decided decrease in your sexual activity or it may become non-existant. This is a sign that he prefers the other woman, but it does provide you with an opportunity to discuss the lack of lovemaking in your marriage. There may not be any cheating going on and it could be a sign of a medical condition that he doesn't want to see a physician about.

3. If you bring up the subject of cheating or infidelity, even if you are talking about someone else, a cheating husband may become very defensive or not want to pursue the conversation. This could be a sign that he has something to hide. He could be afraid that you have suspicions and he may let something slip in the conversation.

4. He suddenly starts working overtime without discussing it with you. This is definitely a sign he is cheating if there is no increase in the level of his pay and he does not have an explanation for it.

Taking a look at the credit card statement to see if there are any purchases you know nothing about or charges for hotels where you didn't stay with him. This means he has been buying gifts for someone else and using hotels for the trysts.

Finding evidence of only one of these warning signs is not enough to start making accusations of adultery. However, when you find a string of occurrences combined with marked changes in his daily routine, then you do have cause for suspecting your husband of cheating. Make note of the new clothing he wears, any change in his cologne or even his tastes in food. These are all signs that you cannot afford to overlook if you feel that you want to save your marriage.
