If there are slanting floor, doorways, or ceilings, you might want to have a look under the house for signs of foundation failure. Termite damage should never be overlooked. Ask to see a report where the home has been inspected for termites. Mold is another disastrous thing that you could also be paying for in a home. Bad or outdated wiring is an issue. Extreme plumbing problems could cost you thousands too. Any and all of these specific issues could cost you a bundle to have repaired after you buy the home.

When you buy an older home, there will usually be some repairs and changes that you will need to make, but just make sure that you are aware of every single issue the home may have so you do not end being a home owner that just wants to burn the place to the ground. You can go to jail for that.
