Five Fun Things to Do with Your Printer
With the way that the economy has been over the past few years, it's important to find ways to cut corners and save some money. The majority of people own an inkjet printer, but they don't realize all of the fun things that can be done with it that will help them save money! Here are five things to do with your printer that can save you money, too.
1.Make Holiday Cards
Greeting cards aren't cheap. Sometimes, you end up spending almost as much on the card as you do on the present itself! However, there is an easy way to make your own holiday and greeting cards. Simply find images or pictures that you like on the Internet (or in your own digital photography) and then print the picture out on hard stock paper. You will want to make sure that the size of your picture equals half of the size of the paper so that you can fold it like a greeting card.
2.Make Your Own Art
Why spend money on expensive art when you can make your own with easy software on your computer? There is a variety of "picture" or "draw" software that you can use to "paint" your own picture. There are also tons of free stock images that can be found on the Internet that make for very attractive wall hangings.
3.Develop Your Own Photos
There is almost no need to spend money on developing photographs anymore. If you have a digital camera, a computer, a printer, ink, and photographic quality printer paper, then you can easily print out your own photos instead of paying someone else to develop them for you!
4.Make Your Own Invitations and Announcements
Getting invitations and announcements printed can cost quite a bit, but you can use your inkjet printer to print out these documents. All you have to do is design an invitation or announcement by using a publishing software and then print them out on high quality stock paper. Then it's time to stick them in the mail!
5.Make Your Own Stationary
This is the same principle as printing your own invitations and announcements. Stationary isn't cheap, but printing your own stationary certainly is! All you have to do is create a letterhead and print out your envelopes and stationary paper!
We are always looking for ways to save money. With these five printing projects, you'll be having fun being creative while saving money at the same time.
