Changing Your Eating Habits Will Change Your Life
Most overweight people developed bad eating habits as children carried them into adulthood. How many overweight people are still behaving as if they were children? When they were growing up, their parents told them to eat everything on their plates. You were told to think of the starving children in Africa; India or any third world country.
You know that it makes no sense, that leaving that piece of a burger isn't going to help anyone, but still they insist on cleaning their plate. You know that the only way to help the starving is to eat less, and send them the money you have saved on restaurant bills or grocery shopping.
If you are eating for the sake of eating, then you need to consider why. How is it that a statement like, "Think of the starving children of the world" makes you eat more, not eat less.
Greed and starvation are opposite ends of the food spectrum and yet the end results are the same; premature death. Yes many people and children are dying for lack of food, but many people and children are dying from illnesses relating to their overeating.
You need to consider your eating habits and whether you are still eating for Africa or for yourself. Until you eat for yourself then you will continue to overeat. People only change when it is something they want for themselves.
The biggest problem is a person not wanting to take responsibility for the overeating. It is easier to blame a parent, even though the parent really has no more influence over what they eat. The parent might have insisted they ate a certain food because it was good for them, but when they left home, they never ate that food again.
The parents get the blame for some of the eating habits, but the child even as an adult is selective which habits they retain. The other problem that many adults fail to understand if they teach their children the same diet habits, then they will be blame for all their children's bad habits in years to come.
Using the excuse that you are eating for Africa; India or anywhere else, is just an excuse. You know that you are not eating for these starving people and everybody else knows the truth, you need to face the truth and then get on with a sensible diet plan.
