Show Them You Want More Than Just Their Money

The image always forms in a person’s mind that most companies, if not all companies, only want their money. That’s why you’re sending advertisements to them and that’s why you’re spending so much time courting them, because you want what’s in their pocket.

Who they are isn’t very important. Anyone can supply you with money, after all. Sure, you’ll target the people who are most likely to give you business, and therefore give you money, but it still boils down to the idea that you’re only after what’s in their pocket.

Is this true of companies? I’m sure it will be for some companies, but for the most part a lot of companies are more interested in helping a person and providing them with great service. If you give them good service then sure, they’ll probably want to use you again, which in turn is good business.

The issue is that so many companies focus so heavily on just pushing sales or products at people. They push something that only deals with people spending more money, and that’s it. Because of this the advertising gives people the impression that the company is only looking to make a buck, and that’s about it.

If a person feels as if a company doesn’t care about them then they aren’t going to be as close to that company. They might still shop there, but that will be the end of the relationship. If you want people to be more loyal to you than you have to give them a reason to be, and to treat them in a way that shows you care more about them than what they have in their pockets.

This is where greeting card printing comes in to help create your image to the public. A really well done greeting card deals only with the person you’re sending it to. You’re telling them about your store and you’re asking them to come in and give you a try. You don’t mention sales and you don’t mention money. You might say that you feel your store will be able to improve their lives, and that’s why they should give you a chance.

But the focus needs to be entirely on them as a person and nothing else. You’re asking them to let you help them out and give them the best service that you can.

This ability to appeal directly to the person, to focus on them as a person, is what makes greeting card printing so valuable in creating a strong first impression on people. You’re showing them that you care about them and their needs. Simply boasting a sale is never going to have the same approach.

If you take the effort to show people that you value them as people just as much as you do the business they provide you, you’ll never have to worry about them seeing you as only interested in money.
